We have a good way to book a slot in the schedule at the moment but we can do better. This is my suggestion.
Instead of having a drop down menu we replace it with a text box that allows the user to define their own reason for being off. Then the text in the text box is displayed in the schedule and the rollover still has the notes. If this is made clickable and leads you back to the page to allow you to edit then great.
We need the edit misc slots to allow us to add or remove and move any of these bookings.
Also, it will save us some coding if we change this drop down menu to ‘Book / unbook misc slots’ and if we change ‘Edit slots’ to ‘Block / unblock slots’.
This extra functionality will mean that we can use it for our own internal code development purposes as it is a lot clearer to understand who is working on what and when than it is using Trello.
