What is it?
Simply put, Flobot improves workflow and productivity in Field Service businesses by keeping track of where your customers and orders are at any one time. It’s intelligent decision making engine reacts to things that are happening with your customers, such as a new field visit, a payment, a quote, anything, and pushes that order along a ‘virtual’ conveyor belt.
It means you always know where you are with a customer – you don’t need to reply on team members to remember everything and you’re always in control at all times.

Why do I need it?
If you’re running any kind of business in the service industry, whether that be a Plumbing and Heating company, a Mobile Computer Repair business or even a Mobile Hairdressers, you need to be in control of your time. That applies whether you’re self-employed, have a small business with a few team members to manage, or even a medium to large business with a lot of team members to manage.
The hardest and most time consuming part of the service industry is keeping track of orders that are at different stages in their life cycle, and that means having to manage customers, staff and field team members, and the more you have of each the harder it becomes. Traditionally businesses find that they are able comfortably manage things at the start when things are small, using tools like Excel for scheduling and customer records, Word for quotes, and maybe Sage for accounting. The problem starts to occur as your business grows and you find it time consuming having to keep several systems or tools all updated and synchronised. Many businesses end up employing extra staff (and therefore spending lots of money) to manage these unwieldy processes, or even worse add this administration layer to their own work stack, meaning they end up doing hours and hours of admin, and have less time to bring in new business or sell to their existing customers.

How Flobot helps your business
If you’re familiar with the above scenario, you may have asked yourself ‘I wish I could just keep an eye on all of my orders in one place, and not have to keep going in and out of different spreadsheets and things to just manage my business’. The basic answer to how Flobot helps is that it brings all of the order management processes into one easy to use tool and allows you to see what’s going on at any time with any order and with any customer. We designed Flobot along the principle that every business starts with a customer enquiry or ‘lead’ (whether that’s a new customer or an existing one), and (hopefully!) ends up with a payment to your business for the services you’ve undertaken. The bits that happen in between are known as the ‘Workflow’. Whilst not every business uses exactly the same workflow, broadly speaking they all follow an almost identical route from start to finish:
Of course, this is a very simplistic view of the workflow process, but it serves to demonstrate that most businesses work in the same way, and Flobot can help your business by keeping an eye an all of your orders, moving them on where necessary, alerting you when something’s wrong and putting you firmly in control of everything – all in place – sounds good doesn’t it?!
I’m not tech-savvy – will I be able to use it?
Absolutely..! We know that you’re in business because you’re good at what you do – you might be an electrician, a landscaper, a plumber or a personal trainer, but you might not necessarily think you’re good at’ techy stuff’. You need a system that you can pick up and start using pretty much straight away, and that’s how we built Flobot. It’s designed to work with your existing processes, helping you as much or as little as you want it to, and because it’s modular, you can use the bits you want and use the rest when you’re ready, or more experienced.

Is it powerful enough for me?
If you’re more experienced with using software to help your business, or have more advanced requirements, you’ll find that Flobot fits the bill nicely, because it’s designed to help as businesses grow with more sophisticated features such as a GPS tracking for field based staff, payment gateways and connection to third party systems. What’s more, there’s no limit to how many orders and clients you can store, so your client database grows as your business does.
